Georgia is acknowledged as having a proven history of winemaking going back 8,000 years to the very origins of winemaking as a human endeavour.

Château Svanidze is a well-established winemaker that shares the traditional Georgian approach to winemaking and prides itself on producing a full range of award-winning premium Georgian wines; an increasing number of the 12 types of Chateau Svanidze wines can now be found in an expanding list of countries and include some of the world’s leading restaurants and wine merchants.

The current wine business is based upon a Svanidze family tradition extending back for more than 150 years in Khaketi, the heartland of Georgian winemaking.

Now expanding to more than hundred hectares of vineyards and featuring a new bottling plant, the business is located near the reconstructed traditional town of Signagi, and overlooks the great Caucasus Mountain range.
